ST PATRICK'S CHURCH INTERACTIVE TOUR

Plan Section 9

Church Location

The Macauley Memorial Window depicts a scene from the beautiful love story of Isaac and Rebekah as a tribute to the 70 years of 'Wedded happiness" enjoyed by James and Anna Macauley.

The Hugh Neill Memorial is just to the left of the south door and is in memory of a brave young man who laid down his life attempting to save two young men caught under the ice at the old dam in Railway Road.

The South Porch door mouldings are decorated with alternating ferns and shamrocks, the symbol of St. Patrick. In the tympanum above the doorway are three panels containing coats of arms: those of the diocese of Connor (centre), the archdiocese of Armagh (left) and the O'Hara family (right).

This brings us almost full circle of our tour of St. Patrick's Church. Why was it built? Well it was built in the first place, and that was, and still is, to bring glory to the One who died to save us all. Before you leave, why not take a few moments to reflect on this wonderful truth? and take time to visit us.
