Sunday 11th May 2008: The Day of Pentecost - Whitsunday

PRAYER POINTERS:

WEEKLY PRAYER THEME

Witnesses of Hope                               Psalm 33:18-22; 1 Peter 3:15

We need to be people who are always prepared to give a reason for our hope in Jesus.
Give thanks: for Jesus’ love, forgiveness, guidance and protection.
Pray: for a fresh understanding of who I am in Christ, so I can bring good news to those I meet today; for Christian organisations working to share the gospel in word and deed; for the planning of Hope08 projects taking place in my area over the summer; for someone I know who has wandered away from their faith.
Consider: getting together with two of your friends to each pray for three others who are far from Jesus.

I pray that for my community, 2008 will be a year of:

Healing for those who are broken

Order where there is chaos

Protection for the vulnerable

Enterprise for all.
